Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I’ll be posting tips about interviewing, budgeting, and meal prepping. Hope you find it useful!

Time to Update Your Resume

Time to Update Your Resume

  1. Remove any job older than 10 years. If you feel the experience was relevant, then include those strengths under your skills section.

  2. Make it fit on one page. When space is limited, it forces you to say the same thing in as few words as possible.

  3. Use active verbs (examples include resolved, communicated, monitored). Ideally every bullet point starts with a verb that matches the job description.

  4. Create and maintain a LinkedIn profile. Numerous recruiters find you online and reach out to you this way.

  5. Lastly, put yourself in the hiring manager’s shoes. They must be reading thousands of these resumes a day so I can only imagine they want to read something concise and creative.
